# Child Care Counts

We're reaching out to our community to share an important cause that directly impacts the future of our children and the childcare industry in Wisconsin. [Child Care Counts](https://actionnetwork.org/letters/wisconsin-must-invest-in-child-care-in-the-2025-27-state-budget "Visit Site") is a financial program that provides crucial support to childcare centers, ensuring they can continue to offer quality care to families across our state. However, this support needs your voice to continue.

We urge you to take a moment to let our legislature know that quality early childhood education is [important to you](https://amilliondreamz.org/stories/tellmystory/) and deserves investment. By using the linked letter-writing portal, you can tell your state elected officials to invest $480 million in the child care sector in the 2025-27 state budget. This investment will provide targeted grants to help keep programs open and increase the wages of early educators.

Without action, Wisconsin risks a deepening crisis: programs forced to raise rates and consider closing, added financial strains for working families and the workforce and economic consequences that will result. Please take the time to share your individual story about how this investment would impact you. Your voice matters.
